What's wild about Wet 'n Wild?

Have you guys seen Wet 'n Wild trios/quads/palette in your drugstore lately? I know. I picked up a couple of trios yesterday @ Walgreens. Heard a lot of people rave about the Color Icon collection and I couldn't resist, so I went out and had to check them out myself! So here's what I got:

Sweet As Candy                     Cool As Cucumber
$2.95 each

To be quite honest, I am not so sure I like them that much. I used Cool As Cucumber yesterday and I thought the colors are okay. I had it on for a good 3 hours and I noticed the colors faded so I had to retouch. Early this morning (yes, I was up at 4am ... hubby woke me up) I used the same trio again to see if I'd notice anything else. Well, the colors are blendable BUT when I tried to blend them too well, the colors just disappeared! Reminds me a lot of Elf Eyeshadows. Then I tried the other trio and I'm not too crazy about this one either. Sweet As Candy is very powdery, when you put it on it looks like you put on baby powder on your lids. Maybe it's the color -- the salmony & highlight colors -- they're too light for my skin tone. I am NC30-35 by the way. But still, eyeshadows shouldn't look & feel that way. To sum it up, I think these shadows are comparable to ELF. Quality isn't great but you get what you paid for.
